Willow Craft Workshop

Our Willow Craft Day is something that is very popular with infant, primary and junior schools. Also we facilitate workshops at woodland fairs and events organised by the RSPB and Woodland Trust and other similar organisations. I work alongside my wife, Elaine. Depending on the age of the child they would be able to make a 2-D willow shooting star, 3-D bird feeder, snail or vase (with plastic test tube). We aim to work with 3 full classes. In advance the school asks for 6 – 8 parents/PTA volunteers who are committed to being at school all day. We train them up and let them get confident in making. In turn Ganesh shows each class how it is done and then 8 at a time the children come into the hall where Elaine and helpers are ready to encourage and teach the children. The price includes all teaching, willow, flowers, test tubes, tools, jigs, 20 – 30 living willow pencils (in Dec – April season). All Ganesh’s demonstration willow work to remain in school.
